On φ-Connes amenability of dual Banach algebras
Let φ be a w-continuous homomorphism from a dual Banach algebra to C. The notion of φ-Connes amenability is studied and some characterizations is given. A type of diagonal for dual Banach algebras is dened. It is proved that the existence of such a diagonal is equivalent to φ-Connes amenability. It is also shown that φ-Connes amenability is equivalent to so-called φ-splitting of a certain short...
متن کاملMaps on positive operators preserving Lebesgue decompositions
Let H be a complex Hilbert space. Denote by B(H)+ the set of all positive bounded linear operators on H. A bijective map φ : B(H)+ → B(H)+ is said to preserve Lebesgue decompositions in both directions if for any quadruple A,B,C,D of positive operators, B = C +D is an A-Lebesgue decomposition of B if and only if φ(B) = φ(C)+φ(D) is a φ(A)-Lebesgue decomposition of φ(B). It is proved that every ...

متن کاملA note on medial quasigroups
In this short note we prove two results about medial quasigroups. First, let φ and ψ be binary operations defined by multiplication, left and right division in a medial quasigroup. Then φ and ψ are mutually medial, i.e. φ(ψ(a, b), ψ(c, d)) = ψ(φ(a, c), φ(b, d)). Second, four points a, b, c, d in an idempotent medial quasigroup form a parallelogram if and only if d = (a / b)(b \ c).
متن کاملAchievement of Continuity of (φ, Ψ)-derivations without Linearity
Suppose that A is a C∗-algebra acting on a Hilbert space H, and φ, ψ are mappings from A into B(H) which are not assumed to be necessarily linear or continuous. By a (φ, ψ)derivation we mean a linear mapping d : A → B(H) such that d(ab) = φ(a)d(b) + d(a)ψ(b) (a, b ∈ A). In this paper, we prove that if φ is a multiplicative(not necessary linear) ∗-mapping, then every ∗-(φ,φ)-derivation is automa...
